 JULIE

Poured rain all day.  Heavy, heavy downpours.  We puttered around but the rain never eased up.  About 8pm we decided to just go home tonight instead of waiting for tomorrow, so we packed up and left.

 SHONNA

Julie and Gord read by the fire all day.  Julie, Megan, and Shonna went to the sewing store to buy new craft projects.  Greg, Megan, Shonna and Noah spent two hours playing at the beach.  Shonna and Greg both skipped sunscreen and, of course, are paying for it now with burnt shoulders and backs.

Greg saw two bear cubs just before supper, taking a dip in the lake!

Megan spent part of the day cutting quilt patches.  Gord and I went to town to find some geocaches and attend the Cruise Night on the docks.  Kids went to the beach for a couple of hours, then to the docks for ice cream.  Gord and Greg cut down the tree and burnt out the stump on the patio.

 SHONNA

John and Marian left at 3pm.  We went to the Old Ladies garage sale and bought several DVDs for $2 each. Best. Deal. Ever.

Returned home and ate several overstuffed tacos.

JULIE

Mum and I stained the bedroom wall at Hurdville while Dad and Gord moved the washer and dryer and made a dump run.  Fishing tonight. Megan bought a huge tub of wooden Thomas the Train tracks at the Old Ladies so she got the best deal!

Nice out today.  Went to Hurdville to do some trimming out and staining.  Got yellow waterlilies (I hope!).  Dad going to the Legion for the final soccer game and I'm going browsing.  Spain won!

Home to paint and cut grass.

SHONNA

Julie, Gord and Shonna arrived at 6:30pm, surprised to see John and Marian here. Megan, Greg and the kids arrived shortly after midnight.

To Hurdville to put a second coat of varnish on the doors and moldings, and cut the grass.  HOT again!!! Didn't leave until almost noon.

Got back about 4pm to town for water and to return the door plate.  Home for fire, puzzles, and bed.  Lots of motorbikes in town this weekend!

 MARIAN

First coat of varnish on the bedroom at Hurdville.  Dad went to McKeller to the Planning Board with questions about the new deck.  Great bakery, chips and ice cream at Waubaushene on Hwy 124. 

Made the beds and vacuumed the bedroom while dad trimmed it out.  Brian, Judy, Anita, Joe and Min up. Gave Min the green pitcher and bowl.  Took stuff to the thrift store and made arrangements to get a deck plan drawn up at Rona ($225).

Stained the bedroom at Hurdville, and put on a new door and carpet for the bedroom at Parry Sound. Put four mattresses on bunks so they can take two off and use them on the floor when necessary.  Both of us are exhausted from the heat.

Paid $340 to the guy who mowed the field at Hurdville!  Put offer on a clock at the thrift store.

Dad and I and Poppy up.  Stopped for fish and chips at Broadway in Orangeville.  Went to Brian and Judy's.  It's HOT! The field beside Hurdville has been mown!

Leaving for home loaded with 6x6's and Mark's steel.  Leaving about noon.  Grass is all cut.

To the Old Ladies, the thrift store, and uptown.  Got keys cut for Hurdville and rat poison too.  Put the door on the porch and painted it.  Boys out fishing while dad is cutting the grass at Hurdville. Big snapping turtle in the lake again!

Spaghetti for supper, then back to Bracebridge and home by 10:30pm.

Up to cut grass this morning.  Put the roof on in Hurdville. Finished at 3pm!  Looks great!

Went to Bracebridge.  Back to Hole in the Wall at Windermere.  In town for fireworks.  Bed at midnight.
