Built a wall at Hurdville and came home just as Mark and Gord came in at 3pm. Went back to Hurdville to put the rafters up. Josh and Jenn up at 8pm. John, Rose & Cora up at 8:30pm.

Went over to Hurdville and started the back rooms. Got all the 2x8s done and put 3/4" plywood on. Brian and Judy came around so we went home and they stayed 2-3 hours.

John and I and Poppy up at 3pm. Raining hard and COLD! Started the stove. Rained all night.

NANCY
Another beautiful day! High of 28 degrees! Took the boat out again in Manitouwabing Lake (no idea if I spelt that right - Holy Cow!) The girls loved swimming and jumping off the boat. We did about 5 minutes of fishing (too hot, and not enough patience for that today. Amber did catch 2 nice perch though!) The girls just wanted to swim today - with NO life jackets too! Came home, had supper, went back to town for ice cream and a walk on the beach. We are home now, gonna do dishes and play cards and games with the girls, then get them in bed. It's been a long, busy, HOT day. I think we all will sleep well tonight!!! It was a beautiful day to end our holidays (even Georgia went swimming and boating with us too!)

NANCY
Took the boat out today! Gorgeous day today (high was 27 Celsius). Out on lake about 12:30pm - we swam, fished and toured around - great day! Back about 4:30-5pm for supper. Roasted marshmallows with the kids then Mark and I played cribbage and went to bed around midnight.

Got more green wood. Nancy and I to two flea markets. Mark to town to test the battery.
NANCY
Well, there was nothing at the garage sale - went to the "Old Ladies" down the road. Marian bought a kid's book, no big buys today. Mark and I took kids to the old beach. John and Marian left around 2pm. After the beach, we came home and after a little while we went to Foley Fall Fair - not much to see, but the kids had a great time. Made a snack of french fries, then played games and went to bed.

MARIAN
Put the new culvert in the driveway and cemented pylons in place in Hurdville. Mark and Nancy went to town while we went to Hurdville to close up. Got green wood from the dump.

Mark and Nancy to the show and uptown, and took the kids out for Chinese food. Went to Hurdville and put on door hinges. Mark dredged the ditch and ran an electric cable from the garage to the cabin.

Nancy and I went shopping. Mark and Dad went to the beach with the girls. Mark and Dad went to Hurdville today to dig for footings. Played cribbage tonight.

Back to Hurdville. TyVeked and insulated the other bedroom ceiling. Mark ran cable from the boathouse to the cabin.

MARIAN
To town for supplies, alcohol, water, etc. Coffee and soup at Richard's, then over to Hurdville to finish the third side of the cottage and put on the new screen door. Cut the grass too.
Plastic, strapping and insulation up on the ceiling in the master bedroom. Home to wash and change. Mark, Nancy and girls arrived up this evening.
